 Arattupuzha Pooram 2023 - Conclave Of God



Aratupuzha Pooram in Thrissur district is considered as the mother of Purams due to its importance and significance. This Pooram is held at Sri Shasta temple in Aratupuzha, fifteen km away from Thrissur district. The idea is that during the eight-day long festival, the gods and goddesses of the nearby temples come to see Lord Ayyappan, the main idol of worship here. 


When Panchavadyam, Panchari and Pandi Melam break the arena, the Gajaveeras with pearl umbrellas and alavatta will arouse the curiosity of the people. Aarattupuzha Pooram is the festival that sees the largest elephant stage entry in which about 70  elephants participate.In the evening, all the deities of Pujas and Mantras are performed in Aratupuzha river. Read more
